North Las Vegas roots
North Las Vegas nearly had a different name: in 1932 it was almost incorporated as Vegas Verde. It kept its name, incorporated in 1946, and stayed proudly local.
Jerry's Nugget has stood on Las Vegas Boulevard North since 1964, founded by two men named Jerry Lodge and his brother-in-law Stamis.
The Stamis family still runs it and is one of the last family-owned casinos in Las Vegas. Its 1968 oil-derrick sign was then the tallest sign in the city.
Broadacres Marketplace has been the weekend ritual since 1977: more than 1,100 stalls over 40 acres, drawing up to 20,000 people. North of it all is mammoth central, Tule Springs Fossil Beds, the first national monument dedicated to Ice Age fossils, where the 1960s dig was so big scientists called it the Big Dig.

How do locals do Glittering Lights?
Early and on a weeknight. The Speedway's drive-through light show runs November to early January, priced per carload, and its own FAQ gives the protocol: smoothest before 6 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, and don't follow your GPS — it routes to a closed gate. Take I-15 Exit 54. Season passes go half price in the July “Halfway to Christmas” sale.
Where do families go when it finally feels like fall?
Gilcrease Orchard — 60 acres farmed by the same family since 1920, at the city's north end. Fall harvest means pumpkins, wagon rides and the famous warm cider donuts. Buy tickets online in advance (weekends sell out), bring a wagon, and park in the south lot.
Which weekends do you avoid I-15 north?
The two NASCAR weekends (March and October) and EDC in May, when the Speedway pulls 100,000-plus people a day and NDOT warns drivers off Exit 54. Locals counter with surface streets — Cheyenne Avenue and Nellis Boulevard.
Where do locals drive to see wild horses?
Cold Creek, about 40 minutes up US-95. The Wheeler Pass herd grazes the meadows and roadsides around the village; the road in is paved and a regular car is fine. Keep your distance and never feed them — and enjoy the valley's quickest cool-down while you're there.

The flowers are gorgeous. Upon pickup I thought the bouquet look amazing but the next day when I came to check up on them I noticed the flowers grew in size and were blooming which made it all the more special and beautiful.

Where do you deliver in North Las Vegas?
We deliver across all of North Las Vegas — Aliante, Los Prados, Rancho Manor, Centennial Hills, Eldorado North, the Deer Springs area, and the east, northeast, and north sides of the city. Order by noon for same-day delivery anywhere in it, at a flat $29.95 per order, per address. We also deliver across the rest of our valley area: Las Vegas, Henderson, Green Valley, Summerlin, and Southern Highlands. One hard limit: we cannot deliver inside Nellis Air Force Base. Base access keeps our drivers out.
Do you offer same-day delivery in North Las Vegas?
Yes. Order by noon (12 p.m.) and your arrangement is hand-crafted by our own designers and hand-delivered by our own drivers the same day, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
How much does flower delivery in North Las Vegas cost?
A flat $29.95 per order, per address. Everything on the order travels together for the one fee. Pickup at either shop is free.
Can you deliver to Nellis Air Force Base?
No. Base access means our drivers cannot get on base, and that includes every address inside Nellis AFB. Send to an off-base home or workplace instead, or arrange a pickup at our Summerlin or Henderson shop. Call (702) 737-7077 and we will help you work it out.
Can you deliver flowers to a hospital in North Las Vegas?
Yes. North Vista Hospital and the VA Southern Nevada Medical Center are in our service area on standard terms: order by noon for same-day delivery, a flat $29.95 per order, per address. Hospital deliveries go to the nurses' station or the front desk, never to a patient's room, and hospital staff take them from there. Put the patient's name on the order so the desk can match it.
What happens if the recipient isn't home?
Our driver expects someone to answer the door. If nobody does, the driver calls the recipient first, then calls you. With the recipient's okay, we can leave the arrangement in a safe spot, weather permitting; in the summer heat we generally will not leave flowers outside. If we cannot reach anyone or leave it safely, the arrangement comes back with the driver, we make one more delivery attempt, and after that it can be picked up at either shop.
