Funeral Flowers in Las Vegas: What to Send, Where, and When

The short answer

Match the piece to where it is going: standing sprays and casket sprays for the service, a vase arrangement or a plant for the family's home. Services set the schedule, so order as soon as you have the details — and if the obituary says "in lieu of flowers," honor it and send something to the home later.

Start with where the flowers are going

For the service, the traditional pieces are standing sprays (from extended family, companies, and groups), casket sprays (usually from the immediate family), and smaller arrangements and baskets from friends and colleagues. For the family's home, send a vase arrangement or a plant. It stays with them after the service, and for many families it is the gift they mention later.

In Green Valley, many services sit close to the neighborhood itself. Green Valley Lutheran Church and School, on Wigwam Parkway, is one of the in-area anchors we deliver sympathy flowers to, a short distance from Cornerstone Park.

Timing: services set the schedule

Services set the schedule, and we treat them as fixed appointments. Order as soon as you have the service details; call (702) 737-7077 and we will tell you exactly what can be there and when. We deliver to funeral homes and churches across Las Vegas and Henderson and coordinate the timing with the service.

Ordering from out of town

A large share of funeral flowers are ordered by people who cannot be here. Call us, tell us about the person, and we will handle the local details: the right piece, the right place, on time. You will not have to guess at any of it.

The card

Short is enough. "With deepest sympathy." "Thinking of your family." If you knew them well, one true sentence about them is worth more than any formula. We will help you word it if you want help.

Faith and custom

Traditions differ: some faiths prefer no flowers at all, and some services specify donations instead. If the obituary says "in lieu of flowers," honor it, and send something to the home later instead. When you are unsure, ask us. This is a conversation we have every day.

If you would like a hand with any of this, call (702) 737-7077. We have this conversation every day, and we will take care of the details.
